Project 2 - Project Team Recruitment and Development Strategy

The below extract is from the Deakin University SRM181 Project Management 1 2009 Trimester 1 Unit Guide:

"You are required to approach a commercial organisation (preferably in the building and construction industry) and document its strategy to recruit, develop and make the most effective use of people involved with the organisation or project.

You can work individually, team up or be randomly allocated to a group (learning partnership) of up to three students for this assignment. An exclusive discussion forum will be created for your partnership, which you will be required to use in order to collaborate with your partner(s). You can work in the same team for both group projects (P2 and P3) in this unit.

The outcome for this project is a professional report documenting the organisation’s strategy for the following:

- recruiting staff (employees, project team members)
- project team (staff, employees) development
- most effective use of people involved with the project/organisation
- analysis of the strategy"
